Hats Galore!

On a hat jag of late. Here is top down ear-flap hat knit in Noro for my friend Cerena. She wanted something muted and neutral. It fit perfectly and she loves it!

Simple Slouch Hat for a friend who lost her hair due to chemo --not a happy knit, but she really needed it.
And my wild Mountain Nights Toque. This sure brightens up a winter day! Love the yarn:

I Love Winter

This is one of the reasons -- handmade socks. As you can see I have worn a few pairs in the last week or so. They are drying in the sun. Don't let that sun fool you --it is cold here. Not by National standards, but California ones! We freeze to death if it gets below 70! It is 5PM and 38 degrees!Winter is a time to look inward and conserve our energy. Yoga instead of running, warm foods (no salads or raw foods ), quiet activities. Everything around us is quieter: birds, plants, and animals are laying low waiting for spring. I am trying to do the same and I hope that winter is a reflective, quiet time for you too.

Wee Tiny Socks!

Told you all way back that I would post some Wee Tiny Socks . This a monthly shipment of yarn, a blocker, and some extras every month. I am am slowly catching up! Here is July's "Wee Tiny Fireworks". The beading was fun. The lace-weight, doubled, in black, was NOT!

June's "Wee Tiny Campfire Socks". See those flames?

May's "Wee Tiny Flower" knit sideways.

Aprils' "Wee Tiny Raindrop".

And March's "Wee Tiny Aran Socks" -- not a cable fan, so this was not my favorite...

I have August - December to do still. Thanks goodness they are small!
