Some Great Kits

This is from my Wee Tiny Sock Club -- the Wee Tiny Origami Kit. Lovely yarn and stitch marker.
I just love her kits. I am way behind! I think I have 5 to do!

This is the much anticipated Java Kit from Woolgirl. Tons of goodies, mug stitch marker, coffee scented tag and lotions, lip balm, chocolate coated spoon, coffee candies, gift tags, 2 patterns, coffee, a mug cozy, and the best bag! The yarn is called "Aunt Honey"

Fa-la-la-la-la Kit from Simply Socks. The yarn is cashmere baby! The bag is fun and I got gift tags and these great bottle-cap magnets.

Now to knit with some if it!

Socks Galore

I haven't blogged in long time (but I am trying not to stay away so long) and so it looks like I have been busy knitting, This is a span of 4 months or so, so just a lazy blogger and not-so-much a prolific knitter! First up is my Fishbone Gansey socks. Pattern by Anne Hansen, yarn is The Plucky Knitter. I love this, but the yarn had too much nylon it, and I hope that once I wear them and wash them a few times they will soften up.

Dublin Bay socks and the yarn is Skein Queen in Summer Bunting. Happy socks for sure! Really loved this pattern!

These are Kristen Kapur's 2009 Mystery Socks that yes, I finished late in 2010. This was a hard one for me. I knit toe-up, Magic Loop and an afterthought heel. These were cuff-down, short row heel, DPNs! Yarn is Madtosh -- truly fabulous yarn!

This is Misti Alpaca yarn and a free pattern of their website. Yarn was bought at Bobbins Nest in Santa Clara which is one of my favorites! If you click on the picture you can see the cute cuff.

I have knit some hats and neck wraps too, but those will be for another post. Don't want to shock all of you!

Too Cute!

Yes, I am still here. Just long enough to show off my adorable nephew Vince. He is 9 months old already! Such a big boy now and adorable in his Candy Can hat!

But not for long!
Oh well -- he wore it for about 30 seconds!

I do have more finished objects to share. I was feeling guilty for just sharing stash and club shipments. All that yarn, and really just piling up in my dresser. I decidied to sell some and really start knitting more. Look for another post soooner than later with some knitted items.

Scaruffle pattern with yarn given to me a a birthday gift last year - love this! Cashmere -- who wouldn't?
These have not been on the needles long, but were for my Mom for Mother's day -- a couple of weeks late. Baby Backward Rib Pattern withe Hazel Knits --Federal colorway.

I have some Wee Tiny Socks finished so I'll post those soon.

A Wee New Sock Club

This is my first shipment of the Wee Tiny sock Club -- adorable!

First the Wee Skein (which I rolled already) and the wee blocker. The pattern is "Wee Aran" and came with Kool-aid and 2 tea bags if you wanted to dye your yarn yourself -- very clever! Also some rainbow Skittles and 4 stitch markers.

Can't wait until April!

Vincent Ray Reisinger

Here is my darling nephew "Vince" born March 6th at 6:56 AM. He came into this world weighing a whopping 9 pounds 2 ounces and 21 inches long.

Checkout the hat that his Auntie made him! He's looking up at his grandma with those big brown eyes!

Stitches West

Well this yarn is not from Stitches, but the March Plucky Classics Shipment. I did cancel this subscription, but it came anyway.........colorway "Father Goose".

Also not from Stitches, but of of my favorites, Sophie's Toes. The top is "Old World Christmas" and below is "Sunflower Field".

Okay now from Stitches: Pigeon Roof Studios, Snicklefritz Yarns, Dye Dreams, and Becoming Art. I really did restrain myself this year and love all my selections!

I took 2 classes, Knitting Backwards which was great. Not more turning those darn short rows! I also took a Toe-up, 2-at-a-time, 2 circular needle, sock class and loved it. It will take me a few pairs to really get it down, but I think it will be worth it!

I wish I could show pictures form Stitches, but they don't let us take pictures inside. Lots of fun, but exhausting!

My first Hazel Knits club shipment of 2010. Yummy yarn and chocolate! Salted caramel and a habenero sample. Both very good. I saved the box so I could reorder........

Update -- sold the Mango colored yarn to someone who missed the club and really wanted it.......

Rubber Ducky Club too -- Raspberry Berry soap and oil too -- smells fantastic!

Plugging along with my Cupid Socks and fixing some socks I made for my Mom that we a little big. I ripped back the heel (thank goodness and afterthought heel) and took out about 6 rows and they fit great!

Some FOS & WIPS

Shadow was not a cooperative model for the football hat, so now it is on my sister's dining table with the perfectly matching outfit. Soon it will be filled with arms and legs and an adorable little head! You know there will be pics of him as soon as he arrives!

This is for my cousin Bruno who is ONE today. Party is Sunday in San Francisco that I plan on attending unless the above outfit has a little body in it! You may remember last year I did the Brontosaurus and the T-Rex for the shower, so this makes 3.

My Garter Rib socks with Sophie's' Toes in Cupid -- ♥love♥ the yarn! I have been doing more knitting for Stitches West -- homework you know...........so nothing exciting there!

Enjoying the sun but did go to two movies, which is a lot for me. Saw Valentine's Day and it was cute and entertaining , but Crazy Heart is wonderful -- go see it!

Woolgirls' Valentine Kit -- I would not normally purchased this, but I had a 30% coupon to use and LOVE is my last name. Cute little extras as usual.

Adorable stitchmarker!
And the Zen Garden yarn is so soft (cashmere) and I like that it is a different shade of red.

Plucky Classic February shipment - my last......sniff, sniff.
Working on some secret knitting for my cousins 1st birthday party!

I finished Just Enough Ruffles in March, but never took proper photographs of it. With the yarn and the pattern it was hard to capture the details. This is a good as it's gonna get!

Malabrigo is so nice to knit with -- I love this scarf!

Thank goodness this is not for my cat! Shadow hates it! Let's hope my nephew loves it!
This is from the Book Itty Bitty Knitted Hats and the pattern is "Football". It matches his going home outfit perfectly. He is due to come one month from today!

Finished Objects and a Secret Revealed!

Burning Rings of Fire have been on the needles since October 2008 and yes, they are finished. The yarn is Sunshine Yarn in "Indian Corn". I have a sock kit called "Hearts" that have been on the needles since March 2008. I am almost finished with the first one and hope to have them completed to wear on Valentine's Day!

Not knitting related, but this is the diaper cake I made for my sister's shower yesterday. This was fun, and I have to admit it came out great.

This has been my secret knitting -- Sonny Ray. The pattern is "Take Along Sun". I did all ten rays while sitting with my son after his had his appendix out 2 weeks ago. She loved it! He is such a happy guy!

I am now working on a hat for the nephew for his going-home outfit and a football. Pictures will be up when I have finished. I am really trying to devote more time to knitting and to get some older projects off the needles. Stitches West will be here before we know it and they'll be more yarn and projects to try!

Yarn Clubs!

This is one of those one-time only clubs. It is Cockadoodle Doo and was only available if you are are Wooly Woolgirl. This is new yarn for me and time will tell if it really grows on me...

Here is the themed kit with a darling bag, a chicken tape measure and you can see the rooster stitch marker above.

My last Plucky Classic yarn. I was a member a year ago and got a blue yarn, green and gray. This time I got 2 blues and 1 gray. Don't get me woring, it's stunning yarn. Hmmm... I did renew.

Here is the Dye Dreams Winter Shipment for the 4 Seasons Club. It came with an Ann Hansen pattern that's lovely. This yarn is so soft (it's the cashmere) but I am not in love with the color. May be selling this one, but I will wait as it may grow on me.

I have some finished objects, but you have to wait until after my sister's baby shower for the post!
