This is one of the reasons -- handmade socks. As you can see I have worn a few pairs in the last week or so. They are drying in the sun. Don't let that sun fool you --it is cold here. Not by National standards, but California ones! We freeze to death if it gets below 70! It is 5PM and 38 degrees!
Winter is a time to look inward and conserve our energy. Yoga instead of running, warm foods (no salads or raw foods ), quiet activities. Everything around us is quieter: birds, plants, and animals are laying low waiting for spring. I am trying to do the same and I hope that winter is a reflective, quiet time for you too.

Love my knitted socks too :)
Aaaah, poor thing. Now imagine moving in a January from Southern California to Ohio where there is a natural gas shortage and snow is about 1-1/2 yards deep. Your kids have outgrown their winter coats, hats and mittens and there are none to be had in the stores. Luckily I knew how to knit and mittens and hats were promptly forthcoming. But I must admit 30 degrees is cold for California. Doesn't it give you a warm feeling when you see all these socks? Renate
I need a drying rack like yours.
Nice selection of socks. I love wearing my socks.
