Finishing and Frogging

Navy blue does not photograph well.... I did one of these gloves 3 times because of
the sizing, and then when I knit the second glove it was slightly smaller. I think because I stretched the yarn our so much on the first one. I need to get mitten blockers and fix the problem.....

And for your frogging pleasure......

I started these a KAL for Socktober. It was a mystery so you got a new clue every week. After I got through the heel and part of the foot, it did not fit me well and I could tell I was not going to like it. Being a committed and loyal person to my knitting and decided to shove the bag under the bed. I just took it out yesterday and thought the yarn was too lovely to be knit into something I don't care for.

I need to re-cake it and I think it is going to be this.

The Rubber Ducky Club

This is the second installment of The Rubber Ducky Club. I love the Pima Petite cotton yarn from The Unique Sheep. This is "Berry Truffle" and it's lovely!

You also get handmade soap, and this time a glass stitch marker.

Another Finishing Friday

This have been in queue for a while -- Magic Slippers. They are so easy, and no seams to sew. They are VERY small, maybe 3 inches long.

These are for my family member who I made the dinosaurs for. Made from stash yarn, so I was being resourceful!

I got some great stash I'll have to post soon----

Finishing Friday

I actually finished Thermis a while ago, but I didn't have any buttons. I went to visit my Mom (had knee surgery Tuesday) and she took me to a funky store that sold old buttons.

Look what I found! They are perfect with Thermis and only 40 cents!

I really think they finish the project nicely.

The Sixth Deadly Sin- Envy

I love this sin. The yarn is lovely and the pattern is frilly and romantic (unlike me) but I love it. I will even learn how to bead some of the stitches.
It is House Blend by The Unique Sheep, but the colorway won't be available outside the club for 6 months.
I could not wait to cast on!

Finished Friday

Well, this was not one of those forever-on-the-needles projects, but it is finished regardless. I have had the yarn for a few monhts as part of Stash Menagerie at Three Iirish Girls. I bought the pattern and I had it is a project bag for over 3 months. I am making a terrible attempt here to take my own photo.

Pooh is a much better model.

Fiber Goodness

We are 2 weeks into the New Year and I hope all is well on your end.

I have been knitting and have some FOs, but I am waiting until they are all done to post. In the meantime, enjoy some fiber. I love this yarn! It's called "Feed Me Seymour." This has already jumped on some needles.

This was part of my last Cinema Club shipment for December for sKNITches. The movie featured was "Little Shop of Horrors". Love the flytrap kit, and the choppin' teeth. These are put together so thoughtfully. Maybe someday I can rejoin. I am trying to prove to my husband we don't need my income so I can retire (ROTFL!

I love Knitterly Things Vesper yarn, but it can be really hard to get your hands on. I scored "The Holly and the Ivy" after Christmas, but I will have it for this year's. This yarn stripes up great so you don't need a stitch pattern -- the yarn does all the work!

Ah! Madtosh - what can I say. This was the December shipment ( I had to sign up for another go-round --they are too lovely to resisit). This is Faubourg in worsted and it plans on being a cowl.
This is Sock in Norway Spruce. Both colorways are from her "Intense" collection. She changed some this for this upcoming subscriptions that suit me better: No lace, which is great as I am not a lace knitter, and 2 skiens of worsted so we can make a larger project. I should be getting the January shipment soon so you can see.
Joined a new group on Raverly called "Finish or Frog Fridays". Details here.

Happy Holidays

I hope you all had a Merry Christmas! I did, and I love spending time with my family. I got 8 books (secret shame: twilight) and knit my sister this scarf she asked for. I did finish some other projects. This is the Mid-December Dishcloth KAL. This was the first time I have knit something like this, beginning in the center. I don't think I can bring myself to use this one.

Here are my "It Fall Charlie Brown" socks - completed.

I am plugging away on my Undercover Banket. Almost finished with another square -- 2 more do then and then it's time to block.

UFO's

Joansie posted her UFOs and so I thought I would as well:

Undercover Club -- remember the monthly shipment of yarn to make 12x12 squares into large blanket? 8 down and 2 to go -- why can't I just finish the darn thing?

Deep Sweater. Back is all done, just 2 small front panels and the short sleeves . Sheeeesh.......

Primavera socks - zzzzzzzzz

Soctoberfest socks -- snoozin'

Sprial socks -- in deep hibernation mode

Valentine Socks -- fast asleep

Rings of fire -- extingused for now

Holiday Carusos -- next to finish after the next UFO listed

Charlie Brown Fall Socks -- almost done!

Gloria Cowl -- yikes!

Gust -- may frog and sell kit

I better log off a knit something......

Don't Worry.....

I am still buying yarn! Here is some yumminess from The Skein Queen in the UK. Her yarn is one of my favs and can be hard to get your hands on!

Here is my Seven Deadly Spins Greed shipment. Not really my thing, so I would be willing to part with the yarn, patttern for the clutch, beads, lining and clasps for $25. More details here.

I joined the Color-Co-op, but had to cancel even though the yarn is gorgeous.

I have really shed a lot of club subscriptions: The Plucky Knitter, TV Sock Yarn Club, Yarn Pirate, Color-Co-op, The Stash Menagerie, Sock Yarnista....I still have Magnolia Society and one more shipment of the Cinema Yarn Club. And speaking of....here is the latest from the sKnitches Cinema Club -- Cast-Away.
I love all the packaging and goodies!

Amazing Autumn Coffee Swap

Thanks Gaylen -- I love everything. She said she had a hard time buying for me as I don't blog enough, but I think she did a great job!
A HUGE mug, COFFEE, biscotti, needles (love Hiya, Hiya) a mystery book of which I have not read and some Red Heart Sock yarn for kids socks.

Check out the hand-knit item! It is so soft and squishy and fits right in with my pumpkin collection.
This was my favorite item -- all my colors! Thanks so much Gaylen!

So Ugly --It's Cute

Don't laugh -- I have never made a 3-D project before. I am going to a baby shower next week and I thought this would be fun for the lil guy. So here is "Chomper"

The pattern is called Prehistoric Pals and I ordered through Jimmy Beans Wool. The yarn is Noro Kuryeon, one of my favs.

Now I am off to make the "long neck" guy to go with!

Finally Some Socks

I started this sock on September 1st and had intended on finishing in within the month, but a huge fundraiser for my kids school got in the way. I spent so much time on the computer that I gave myself some repetitive motion symptoms that left me unable to knit or work on the computer much. Lesson learned.

These are Blueberry Waffle Socks (thanks Joansie!) knit toe-up using White Oak Studios TV yarn.

It Took a Lot of Courage But......

Here is my version of Sursa that I knit 2 years ago. It has been hanging in my closet because I don't really care for it. I could not find the right yarn for the ruffles, and I settled, so it has never been worn.
So I ripped the entire thing out -- here is the ruffle. Noro Cash Ihora that I am selling BTW. It equals a little over 2 hanks -- 88g and it is doubled. $12 to include shipping to US.

And here is my Noro Silk Garden that will be knit into this.

I probabaly won't get to it until next year, but it felt good rewind the yarn and have a project already lined up!

Where Have I Been?

I have been under the weather with some arm and shoulder pain, occupational hazard and nothing serious, knitting just a few minutes a week. That hasn't stopped the mail though! Here is my from the Woolgirl. She packages everything so nicely (same shop that does my Seven Deadly S(p)ins

I just love the cube sock project bag!

And Miss Babs dyed the yarn perfectly to match it!

I am doing just a plain ol' sock for this this, and am happy with the way it is knitting up --size 1 Magic Loop BTW. Another vendor I am addicted to is Knitterly Things. Remember my Law and Order Rerun Socks? Well here is a Halloween version. I was incredibly lucky to get this puppy!

And just look at Indian corn from Sunshine Yarns! I have this OTN for Burning Rings of Fire.
